2009 Midstate EMS Agency of Year

On May 21, 2010 Midstate EMS held their annual EMS awards banquet. At the banquet New Hartford Volunteer Fire Department was named the 2009 Midstate EMS agency of the year. 1/3 of the New Hartford Fire Department members are emergency medical technicians. This 1/3 of EMT's consist of different levels of care from basic EMT's to Paramedics. These EMT's provide care 24 hours a day 7 days a week on a volunteer basis.
